Qualification and Educational Objectives of the Module:

In this course, students will learn the basics of financial management and understand the interaction between companies and financial markets as it relates to financing commercial activities with equity or debt. Students will develop an in-depth understanding of the tension between risk and return. With this background in basic financial concepts, basics of portfolio management will be introduced to students such as the concept of diversification and the capital asset pricing model (CAPM).
